Next time we’ll spend more time in the area for sure, Risto. We had a quick look around Urbanville, but didn’t get to the pub!

I haven’t been back either, but am looking forward to seeing it again sometime soon. Maybe I’ll see you there too 😀

I love this small town. Went to stay for 2weeks. Ended up staying for 9. This was winter 2018. Then had to go back to Canberra. Covid has kept me away. Must go again 2022.

I found the Urbanville pub to be a friendly place. Took my dog to the vet then went for two beers.

Hi again, Peter! James supplies the following information about how to find the falls: “It is at the top end (north) of Beaury Creek road before it turns up to go into the State Forest. There was an old house on the left – maybe ruins now. If you walk across opposite the house/ruins you will came across Beaury Creek and the falls. It was on our property, so not sure who owns it now. 100 yard walk maximum – dont fall over the falls.” Good luck – I hope you find it 😀

Hi Peter! Just in case James doesn’t see your comment, I did a quick search myself for Beaury Creek Falls and came up with nothing specific, just like you did 🙁 SO … I suggest also contacting the Woodenbong Hotel Facebook page HERE: https://www.facebook.com/WoodenbongHotel/ – or alternatively, the community website HERE: http://woodenbong.org/?page_id=26 – in the meantime I’ll try and find out more if I can! Good luck 😀

Hi James
I shoot a lot of waterfalls up that way, is Beaury creek falls hard to find, there are heaps of unchartered falls up that way lots on private property, I have been on google earth trying to track where those falls would be

It’s a fascinating area, James – and thank you so much for sharing your family connection to Woodenbong. I look forward to going there again – the falls sound like a great place to visit, as well as having local and historic interest. Maybe I’ll see you there sometime 😀
