Tom’s Leyland Badger is maintained and displayed at the National Motor Museum, Birdwood in the Adelaide Hills.

My work is all in the eating, Stanley! You were lucky to meet Tom – he had an interesting life. His old truck is actually at the railway station in Marree – take this link to see a photo of it (1st photo, top right) : https://www.redzaustralia.com/2013/12/postcard-from-marree-south-australia/ OR take this link for the side view of the truck: https://www.flickr.com/photos/rednomadoz/35167879506/in/album-72157684870031185/

It’s so great that the bakery is operating again after all this time, Wayne! Your great grandfather deserves a medal in my humble opinion … I’ve visited a few times since that first time I wrote about, and it gets better every year. The Farina township is so interesting to visit – there’s no way I’d want to live out there, but it’s an amazing place!

Sadly it is a little remote so I doubt I will ever get to see it but just reading about it is amazing. Good luck with it all.

The best thing about this bakery is that it IS so unexpected, Iza! And you’re right – the baked goods are ALL good 😀

I would not have thought that you can find a bakery in this area. It looks like there are only a few people who go here. However, it is part of the charm. The loaves of bread must be delicious and freshly-baked always. This is really nice to boost tourism in the area.
